ALPA

In Our Community

Hello from Arnold Lodge Parents Association (ALPA)!

ALPA is comprised of members of the parent community across Juniors and Seniors, who volunteers time and energy to work in collaboration with the school to positively affect the experience our children have at ALS.

To achieve this ALPA are focused on:

  • Complementing the ALS school-led wellbeing initiatives by raising funds for additional resources and leveraging the wellbeing expertise within the ALS parent community to benefit pupils.
  • Enhancing and enriching our childrens’ experience at ALS by providing memory-making treats and opportunities for them to enjoy.
  • Connecting the parent community across year groups and Junior/Senior school by holding social events and opportunities for parents to contribute time or talents to ALPA-led activities.

What do we do?

All our activities are aligned to our three areas of focus and done in partnership with the school. You can count on us for Christmas Fayres, Easter eggs, Tombolas, raffles; plus, social events for parents – ‘Meet and Mingle’ evening drinks as well as coffee mornings. We plan to work in collaboration with ALS more in the pupil wellbeing space too, so look out for news in that space.

Donations towards:

  • New staging, backdrops and microphone hire for ALS production of Bugsy Malone
  • Junior School Halloween Disco
  • Guest speaker, Dr Tishtrya Mehta, who ran sessions with Key Stage 2-5 pupils during British Science Week
